Allahabad is best connected by rail to major cities of India.
Some of the important fast trains touching the city from Delhi are the Prayag Raj, Poorva (Amritsar-Calcutta), North-East (New Delhi-Gujarat), Puri, Purshottam expresses, the Rajdhani and Kalka Mail (Kalka-Cakutta).

UPSRTC has services to all the major and minor centers within the region.
The Roadways Bus Stations are at three places: Civil Lines , Zero Road , Leader Road
Private bus stands are at Ram Bagh and Leader Road, from where luxury coaches are available for Varanasi and Lucknow.
