Allahabad : Excursions
Jhusi, 9 km, has many interesting places such as the Shiva Temple, Samudra Koop, Hans Tirth Temple. Situated across the Ganges, it can be reached by a boat.
Arail, 11 km, across the River Yamuna. Places of interest include temples of Someshwar Mahadev, Chakramahadev, Lalita Devi, Adya Veni Madhav, Siddha Ashram and Keshwar Mahadev. Can be reached by road or boat.
Chitrakoot, 132 km, is believed to be the place where Lord Rama stayed during his exile. Other places of interest include the Kamadgiri, Ram Ghat and Janaki Kund.
