PATNITOP
compared to the other tourist spots in the state, Patnitop is no less beautiful or serene. If one is aiming to get away from it all for some time, this place is hard to beat. With all the beauty of a
hill station, it is a charming plateau at 1,950m. The meadow is surrounded by dense woods and lush greenery of pines. Tracks lead to pockets where time stands still and calm prevails. Although Patnitop is an ‘anytime’ place, the best times for a visit are summer, during May-June, and autumn, September-October. If seeking snowbound joys, skiing, sledging, torchlight skiing, snow balling, snowman building, December to March is the time to be here. Carry woollens at all times as showers can suddenly cause a chill. Protection against rain is needed in July-August. Heavy woollens for winter months. The state government plans to further develop the Patnitop Tourist Complex and good progress has been made
