National Museum: Janpath. Crafts Museum: Pragati Maidan w 3371817. A delightful open-air museum, with Indian craftsmen at work. Here amidst the rustic surroundings of a typical Indian village, every month craftsmen from different parts of India exhibit their trade. A small sales counter sells items made on the spot. Open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Entry free.

National Rail Museum: Chanakyapuri ?B 6881816, 6880939. Here original engines and bogies are parked. A small toy train takes children around the museum. A small rail museum is alongside. Timings: Oct. to March 9.30 a.m.-5 p.m.; April to September 9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Entry fee: adults Rs. 3, children Rs. 2.

Tibet House Museum: 1 Institutional Area, Lodi Road . Ancient Tibetan paintings and other artifacts. Open 9.30 a.m.-l p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Closed on Saturdays & Sundays. Entry free.

Shankar’s International Dolls Museum: Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg tr . A unique collection of dolls from all over the world. Open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Entry fee: adults Rs. 10, children Rs. 5.

National Philatelic Museum: Daktar Bhawan, Sansad Marg «. Collec¬tion of stamps - both national and inter¬national. Open 9.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m. & 2.30 p.m.-4.30 p.m. Closed on Saturdays & Sundays. Entry free.

Gandhi Smriti Museum: 5 Tees Janu¬ary Marg -B. Contains books and personal possessions of the Mahatma. Open 10 a.m.-5.30 p.m. Film on Gandhi 10.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m. 2.30 p.m.-4.30 p.m. Entry free.

National Museum of Natural History: Barakhamba Road » 3314849. Collection of animals, flora and fauna of the country. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Entry free.

Nehru Memorial Museum: Teen Murti Marg w. Displays collections of memorabilia and personal possessions of the first prime minister of India. Open 9.30 a.m.-4.45 p.m. Entry free.

Air Force Museum: Near Palam Airport w. A unique collection of ancient and modern aircraft, weapons and uniforms and is a tribute to martyrs. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Entry free.
Archeological Museum: Red Fort ». Contains relics and rare archaeological collection of the Mughal and British periods. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Closed on Fridays. Entry free.

Gandhi Museum: Opposite Raj Ghat *. Has a rare collection of Mahatma Gandhi’s personal possessions, specially of the freedom-struggle days, including books, magazines, etc. Open 9.30 a.m.-5.30 p.m. Film shows - Sundays 4 p.m. (Hindi),
5 p.m. (English). Entry free.

Sangeet Natak Akademi Musical In- I struments Gallery : Rabindra Bhawan, I Feroz Shah Road « 3387246. Has a rare I collection of various folk instrument! (from ancient to modern). Open 9.3 a.m.-6 p.m. Closed on Mondays & public I holidays. Entry free.
