Darbar Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev, the premier Gudwara, is the main attraction. It was built under the stewardship of Sardar Budh Singh and Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgar-hia after the site was cleared of muslim in¬truders and encroachments. The gilt domed structure faces the holy tank the construction of which was initiated by Guru Arjan Dev.
A leper asylum, Dukh Nivaran, started by the fifth Guru is nearby. It was taken over by Christian missionaries in the 19th century.
