Tarn Taran Sightseeing
Darbar Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev, the premier Gudwara, is the main attraction. It was built under the stewardship of Sardar Budh Singh and Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgar-hia after the site was cleared of muslim in¬truders and encroachments. The gilt domed structure faces the holy tank the construction of which was initiated by Guru Arjan Dev.
A leper asylum, Dukh Nivaran, started by the fifth Guru is nearby. It was taken over by Christian missionaries in the 19th century.

Tarn Taran
Built towards the end of the 16th century. Tarn Taran is associated with the fifth Guru, Arjan Dev. It is one of the most important sites of the Sikh religion.
Tarn Taran is only 22 km from Amritsar, the nearest airport and railhead. The easiest access is by road, taxis and buses are avail¬able from Amritsar easily. Punjab Road¬ways tour also touches the city covering all the important places of tourist interest.
