The Wild Ass Sanctuary of the Little Rann is one of India’s largest wild¬life sanctuaries, spanning approximately 4850 sq. km. This sanctuary is the last home of the Indian wild ass, a handsome chestnut brown member of the horse family. The endangered Indian wolf, Indian gazelle, blue bull, desert and Indian foxes, jackal, lesser cats, gerbille and other mammals can be seen in the sanc¬tuary, and blackbucks near the periphery.
