Lucknow is serviced bv the North and North Eastern Railway networks’ by express and superfast trains. One of the convenient connections is Shatabdi Express from Delhi. Direct trains connect Lucknow to Guwahati, Varanasi, Puri, Gorakhpur, Dehra Dun, Allahabad, Ahmedabad, Tirupati, etc.

Trains from New Delhi are the Rajdhani, Vaishali, Neelachal, Gomti expresses and Lucknow Mail. From Delhi are Amritsar-Howrah Mail, Shaheed Express via Gorakhpur and Lucknow Express. Lucknow is linked to Ahmedabad and Muzaffarpur by Sabarmati Express, Guwahati (Avadh and Lohit expresses), to Dehradun and Howrah (Doon Express), Malda town and Bhiwani (Farakka Express), Allahabad (Triveni and Nauchandi expresses), Puri (Neelachal Express), Jammu and Howrah (Himgiri Express), Kanpur (Intercity Express), Patna (superfast Shramjeevi), Varanasi (Kashi Vish-wanath) and Barauni (Vaishali).
